Totalserve welcomed Mr. Alexandros Josephides, Director General of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, and Mr. Sophoclis N. Constantinou, Deputy Director General and Legal Affairs Manager, to its offices in Limassol.
The discussion covered current developments in the shipping industry, the practical challenges faced by shipping companies operating in Cyprus, and the steps that can further strengthen the country’s position as an international shipping centre.
Particular attention was given to ways of attracting more shipowning, shipmanagement, chartering and shipping-related companies to Cyprus, as well as the importance of maintaining a competitive and supportive business environment for the sector.
Established in 1989, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber represents approximately 200 major shipping and shipping-related companies based in Cyprus and abroad.
