Totalserve completed its participation at DOERS Summit Limassol with an active presence at the event, many conversations with start-up founders and business professionals, and strong interest in The Start-up Launchpad.
Over the two days at Kolla Factory, the Totalserve booth welcomed many visitors, including founders, start-up teams, investors and members of the wider business community. Our team had the opportunity to discuss some of the practical issues that matter early in the life of a business - from company formation, tax and legal structuring, to IP protection, accounting, cloud infrastructure, banking, real estate and relocation.
The message was simple: start-ups need ambition, but they also need structure.
As part of the event, Totalserve delivered the workshop “It ain’t rocket science - Start-up Launchpad by Totalserve.” The session focused on the decisions founders often leave for later, even though they can quickly become important as a business grows, raises funds or expands across borders.
The main point was clear: do it, start your start-up, but plan ahead and have the right expert team by your side. The discussion generated many questions and conversations with participants - in fact, the session had to stop only because the next workshop was due to begin.
George Economides also participated in a panel discussion on the EU INC initiative and its implications for cross-border investment and European start-ups. The discussion touched on the practical challenges start-ups face when operating across different European markets, as well as the importance of making Europe a more efficient and attractive environment for founders and investors.
Totalserve’s presence at DOERS Summit was also an opportunity to meet and exchange views with many people from Cyprus’ growing start-up and business ecosystem. Several follow-up discussions are expected after the event, as start-ups continue to assess the next steps for their ideas, teams and business plans.
For Totalserve, the conclusion was simple: building a start-up may not be rocket science, but it does require the right base, the right advice and the right people around the table.
