Limassol, March 2012 - Cyprus is on its way of becoming China’s preferred business and investments gateway to Europe as well as Africa and the Middle East with more and more Chinese companies eyeballing the island as a base for their business ventures. China’s business interest in Cyprus was demonstrated last week with the signing of a €600million deal to develop the old Larnaca airport into a mammoth commercial showroom for Chinese products. The centre will include showrooms, a logistics center, bonded facilities and some 4,000 booths belonging to Chinese factories, creating thousands of jobs for mostly locals and generating a substantial income for the island.
